Meagre Medishield Life payout

I refer to the attached article

https://www.straitstimes.com/singapore/medishield-life-paid-just-450-of-seniors-4477-post-subsidy-bill

While most of us might only focus on the title :

MediShield Life paid just $4.50 of senior's $4,477 post-subsidy bill

We have to dissect (what's new about the Straits Times aka Shit Times) the article, it's supposed to be about how much this Mr Seow has to pay with his medisave that's alarming!

S$3000!

How many S$3000 does an 82 year old retired person like Mr Seow have? With this deduction his medisave account might have taken a bad hit, leaving him vulnerable to bankruptcy further down the road if he does end up needing medical attention again at our infamously expensive government hospitals!

Yes, this PAP government can claim that there are schemes to help the poor, but do you know that to get past, you have to be 'interviewed' by people who will treat you like you are a criminal for trying to 'cheat' the government of it's money? They will ask you all kinds of embarrassing questions and ask you to submit endless documents all because you were downtrodden!

Let's not be too picky to help these poor people and let the aristocrats enrich themselves obscenely together with their whole clan!

THE GOVERNMENT IS THERE FOR THE PEOPLE, NOT THE PEOPLE FOR THE GOVERNMENT!

aristrocrat!
